Trusted Notifications is a hosted transactional email service. This policy explains what data we handle and why. We keep it deliberately narrow — we only process what we need to deliver your notifications and keep deliverability healthy.
What we process
- Account data — your name, email address, a hashed password, and your API keys.
- Message data — the recipient address and the template fields your application sends us (for example a password-reset link), and the email we render from them.
- Delivery events — sends, bounces and complaints, and the reasons for them, so we can suppress addresses that shouldn't be mailed.
- Technical logs — IP addresses and timestamps, used for security and rate limiting.
How we use it
Only to deliver your notifications, prevent abuse, and protect deliverability. We don't sell your data or your recipients' data, we don't use it for marketing, and we never email your recipients on our own behalf.
Who we share it with
We use Amazon SES (Amazon Web Services) to send email, so recipient addresses and message content pass through AWS for delivery. We don't share your data with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We retain message metadata and delivery events while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards so suppression and reporting keep working. You can ask us to delete your account data.
Security
Passwords are hashed, connections use TLS, and access to data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect it.
