Terms of Service

Last updated 17 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of Trusted Notifications (“the Service”). By creating an account, obtaining an API key or sending emails through the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Trusted Notifications provides a managed platform for sending predefined transactional emails, including password resets, email verification, magic login links, multi-factor authentication codes, security notifications and similar application-generated messages.

The Service is not intended for:

We reserve the right to refuse, limit or suspend any email type or content that falls outside the intended purpose of the Service.

2. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity carried out using your account and API credentials.

You agree to:

You remain solely responsible for the content, data and field values supplied by your application.

3. Domains and Production Access

New accounts operate in a restricted sandbox environment and may only send emails to verified recipient addresses.

Before production access is granted you must:

Granting production access is entirely at our discretion. We may refuse, revoke or suspend production access at any time to protect the integrity or reputation of the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Service to:

We may investigate suspected abuse and take any action we consider necessary, including rate limiting, message rejection, account suspension or permanent termination.

5. Rate Limits and Suppression

To protect deliverability across the platform we may apply:

Recipients who hard bounce, report messages as spam or otherwise damage deliverability may be automatically suppressed.

These protections form part of the Service and may change without notice.

6. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable and resilient service but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, message acceptance or message delivery.

The availability and delivery of email depends on factors outside our control, including internet connectivity, DNS, third-party infrastructure, recipient mail providers, spam filtering and recipient configuration.

Maintenance, upgrades, abuse prevention measures or circumstances beyond our reasonable control may result in temporary interruption or reduced service.

The Service should not be relied upon as the sole delivery mechanism for critical or life-safety communications.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any warranties of availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or that emails will always be accepted or delivered.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Our total liability arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100 if you have not paid for the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if we reasonably believe:

Suspension may occur without prior notice where immediate action is necessary to protect the platform.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes.
